  1. Hey guys, if it’s not a burden to anyone, I’m not at all familiar with how the betting procedure works but I’d love to know so I can comprehend these stats. What does 8/15 and 11/2 and so on represent? Anyone kind enough to explain please, would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Pak – 11/2 means for every £2 you bet you get back £11 if you win. Another way of looking at it is to say the odds are 5.5 to 1 for Fulham to win, that is, not very likely.

8/15 is the other way round – for every £15 you bet you get £8 back plus your stake money ( so you would only get back £23 for a £15 stake if Arsenal win). This is called an “odds on” bet and it means the bookies think its very likely Arsenal will win the game.

Hope the fucking bookies are right!

  2. From what I know, it means if you put 15 in, you would get 8 extra, so total 23 back.

For completeness and comparison, a £15 bet on Fulham winning would get you about £98 back compared to £23 back if you bet on Arsenal to win.

Golden rule of gambling though is that the bookies ALWAYS win!

  5. the only sam is nelson

i’m less worried about berbatov than i am about the fact that fulham’s top scorer is own goals and we’ll have kos and TV5 in our back 4

    *gulp*

i’m feeling like it’s going to be a nervy 2-1 to the arsenal but i hope that we mash them into a billion tiny pieces and end up laughing as santi puts his 17th shot into the net, rather than into row z, to make it 6-0
