The best way to solve this problem is… before each game have a raffel with fans on both sides. Whomever wins, gets to play left back, even if the opposition fan wins, he wouldn’t do a worse job than Santos. We should also give a tenner to charity everytime Sanga hits the defender next to him with a crossing attempt – will raise millions! Who wouldn’t pay top notch ticket money if they had 1 in 60k chance to play on the pitch every week. We should even put the gunnersaurus in goal from time to time – even with t-rex arms he might be better than our current Wojciech ‘thinks he is playing with his mates so messes around several times a game’ Szcz¿sny. Wenger can we please ‘write down’ the GBP7mm ‘investment’ in Andrew Santos (like you did for the GBP5mm in Park Chu Young) and MOVE ON, and pay GBP20mm or whatever Moyes wants for Leighton Baines?
Santos was terrible and you can clearly see his confidence is gone, not only that the other players don’t seem to trust him either. From the looks of it a run of games won’t sort Santos out and the team is not in a position to gamble on him not being exposed, the idea of Ribery running at him frightens me.

Would go for Butland too and tell him if he wants to prove himself then fight Szcz for the No.1 jersey, if he manages to provoke reaction from Szcz and we get a better goalie out of him then it’s 3m that can easily be recouped if he doesn’t want to stay back up, if Szcz doesn’t improve and wont be no.2 then we’d probably get more than 5m for him.

Wenger’s refusal to spend, to admit his mistakes, will ultimately cost him his job. The problem is, our board are clowns and will not appoint an adequate replacement. I think we should start a movement to get usmanov to sell his shares to the fanshare scheme, then we could get an elected representative on the board. There’s no point making a profit if we don’t pay dividends. Either we should break even by spending that profit or give it back to the fans through lower ticket prices.

You know, when some of us used to bas Ramsey, atleast we knew that the kid has tons of talent, which has been showing in the past few games. But Santos? Bashing him is justified, because he’s simply awful! Either we get a surprise transfer within a day, or I guess as mentioned above, we could move Sagna to LB, and Jenkinson to RB. Someone said it on here after the last match – Santos is the new Eboue.
The fans have turned on him and like they did with Eboue and Chamakh, his Arsenal days seemed numbered.
I can’t see him starting any games anymore for the Arsenal. Maybe a few substitute appearances in left mid or if an injury happens to whomever plays at LB while Gibbs is out, but the Santos bashing should stop because I highly doubt the cuddly maverick will get game time for the foreseeable future.
Wenger is stubborn and arrogant, but there’s enough football sense in him to realize that Santos is a major liability and better teams then Liverpool would have punished us for his last minute brain fart.
On another defensive note, it’s sad to say because he has been a wonderful servant for us, but Bac is finished at the elite level. Wenger used to be so good at discarding the talent as they began a downward trajectory in their career, but it seems like Sagna has suffered one leg break too many. I’m not saying get rid of him now, but no need to stress out about his contract at the end of the season. Jenks is still not ready yet so a new right back who can jump into the strating 11 like Bac did when he joined us will be a priority in the summer.
On a positive note, at least the Spuds didn’t gain any ground on us. I had visions of Thursday night football when Henderson scored but 4pts is still within touching distance!
