The disappointment of Bayern was put behind us with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Sunderland at the Emirates today.
Here’s how the players rated – and remember: you can add your own ratings and comments too.
1: Wojciech Szczesny
Did well for the most part but might kick himself over punching that late free kick he probably could have caught. It cost him his clean sheet.
3: Bacary Sagna
He played right back, left back, then centre-half and was awesome in each of those positions. He's just so reliable and consistent. Sign him up!
4: Per Mertesacker
He's like a defending Daddy Long Legs, expect not as easily squished.
6: Laurent Koscielny
Another great shift at the back, capped by a good goal from a Cazorla corner. Went off with a back problem but the boss is hopeful he'll be back for next week.
17: Nacho Monreal
Worryingly replaced at half-time because of an ankle problem but otherwise untroubled by Sunderland.
8: Mikel Arteta
Metronomic again making 108/116 passes, 4 interceptions, 3 tackles, 2 clearances. Kept things ticking.
10: Jack Wilshere
Relentlessly positive but tired a little towards the end, understandable after the midweek exertions.
7: Tomas Rosicky
Scored one of the goals of the season today, stepped up when needed in the absence of more illustrious names.
9: Lukas Podolski
The kind of game you'd expect him to score in but he worked hard and did the full 90
19: Santi Cazorla
Gets an assist for Koscielny's goal, buzzed around with those quick feet of his. Some of the cross-field passing with his 'wrong' foot was sensational.
12: Olivier Giroud
Two goals and an assist capped an excellent return to the team for the Frenchman. He owed the manager a performance and gave him one. Kudos.
25: Carl Jenkinson
Showed some JenkinSKILLZ down the right at one but really didn't have much to do.
20: Mathieu Flamini
Came on and played at left-back, 100% pass success rate. Shouted at 4 clouds.
44: Serge Gnabry
Some more good minutes under his belt, fluffed a good chance after being set up by Wilshere but great running to be there in the first place.
Bonus rating: Mesut Ozil - 0/10: nowhere to be seen today.
