Have any of you considered what a chore it is to do player ratings after games like that? We only do it because we love you.
Here’s what we thought of the 2-2 draw with Swansea.
1: Wojciech Szczesny
The second goal was unlucky, no chance with the first, otherwise fine.
3: Bacary Sagna
Much as I love the Bac, is it like cheating on him to start thinking we might be able to upgrade?
4: Per Mertesacker
When in Per, Per with the Permans.
5: Thomas Vermaelen
Beaten a bit too easily by Bony for their opening goal. Rustiness, having been out for so long, or part of why he was dropped way back when?
28: Kieran Gibbs
Did really well getting forward. Created Podolski's equaliser and his crossing tonight was dangerous – shame no Arsenal player wanted to get on the end of it.
20: Mathieu Flamini
Really unlucky for the own goal, did a lot of good work to the point where he was absolutely exhausted.
8: Mikel Arteta
One of our better players tonight but the performance summed up when he kept the ball well in midfield, looked up for an option and found none.
19: Santi Cazorla
Lovely quick feet at times, had our best moment of the first half but struggled to create much. Lack of movement ahead of him a factor there.
15: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Well, it wasn't another Chelsea, at least.
7: Tomas Rosicky
Did his best to inject some pace and energy into the performance, but couldn't find a way to make a decisive difference.
12: Olivier Giroud
In mitigation, didn't get any service but that aside it was a performance heavy of leg and mind. Got a goal but that was about all he did.
9: Lukas Podolski
Came on, scored, made an assist. Yet could have given away a penalty and was defensively woeful. It's clearly why the manager lacks faith in him.
31: Ryo Miyaichi
I know it's not Ryo, but for some reason Kim Kallstom isn't showing up in our system. Some nice touches from the Swede on his Arsenal debut.
22: Yaya Sanogo
Not really on long enough to rate.
