Wenger gives Kolasinac fitness update

Arsene Wenger says Sead Kolasinac will play no part in Thursday’s game with Red Star Belgrade but is in contention to face Manchester City on Sunday.

The Bosnian international limped from the field with a hip problem in the second half of his man-of-the-match performance against Swansea City but should recover in time for the visit to Pep Guardiola’s table-toppers.

“Sead Kolasinac was today much better,” reported Wenger on Wednesday.

“He’ll have attest at the end of the week. He’s not involved tomorrow but could be ok for Sunday. It’s not as bad as we feared at the start.”

There were also updates on some other injured members of the squad.

“David Ospina is short [in fitness for tomorrow], maybe he will be available for Sunday. Calum chambers is back in full training but not fit enough [for tomorrow].

“Welbeck and Mustafi will be back after the international break.”

‘Look errrr.. he will play no part in the game on Thursday because he has gone back to 1991 to help Sarah Connor against the T-1000’

Wenger added, ” he is now in 2079 upgrading his shield and armor and will be available for contention for the City game”.

Mexican Gunner

There is an upgrade on that?

Andy Mack

Better hip protection…

David Ospina is short

Yes he is short on height and short on goalkeeping skills

How come you’re allowed to criticise Ospina?
But should I make accurate observations about Theo? Or Ozil? You give me a stern telling off?
I have no idea what the rules are?
Or who made you Arseblog moderator?

I criticise Ospina because he’s a poor error prone keeper who should have been sold. Sad we sold our best keeper for a song. You’ve never made an accurate observation about Ozil who is the most creative player in England with more chances created than any other player in the country. I am ambivalent about Theo who has never quite fulfilled his potential

Hehe..ofcos he is short. He actually acknowledged to be short. I wish we had the Smoking boy Szczęsny

I think we’ll find out how good a DEFENDER he is on Sunday!

God I hope we knock those sky blue fuckers down to earth this weekend.

Clive St Helmet

Attest to what?

He and wilshere must play Sunday if we have any chance imo

Yes Wilshere got to start on Sunday. He drives the team forward

I heard a description of David Unsworth as “looking like he ate Saed Kolasinac” which I thought was pretty much spot on.

Ozil 11th

Then Rafa must have eaten two kolasinacs

Ugh. Does anyone else get annoyed when you read “after the international break”? Like, enough with all the international breaks!

Ivan Parasite

International breaks, break my heart!
